Below are the positions open for the Board and for Committees. There are positions open that do not require an individual to be on the Board. However, an individual can be on the Board and on a Committee.
Position: Equipment Managers
Description: Working with a Board Member, volunteers would
Organize equipment hand out and drop off after spring and fall season
Inventory equipment to ensure there is enough stock for teams at each level
Maintain equipment room so it is easy to find equipment when needed
Manage field prep materials including chalk, line paint, and other items related to field maintenance
Keep garage clean and organize
Supply Board with items needed to order for each season

Position: Uniform Managers
Description:Working with a Board Member, volunteers would:
Inventory all baseball, softball, and tee ball uniforms after each season
Work with Board to determine re-orders based on registration numbers
Work with our uniform partner when special orders occur for events like All-Star teams, concessions, umpire shirts, and more.

Position: Sponsorship Managers
Description:Working with a Board Member, volunteers would:
Connect with businesses to secure sponsorships aligned to our sponsorship guide
Work with Web Master to get sponsor info on website, Facebook, emails, and more
Work with local sign company (TBD) to get any banners created for sponsors
Report to Board with more raised each month

Position: Fundraising Managers
Description:Working with the Treasurer, volunteers would:
Understand what projects the organization has and potential costs for each
Organize, gather volunteers, and run fundraising events including Pancake Breakfast and dine-out nights
Work with Uniform Manager to order spirit wear and clearance out old spirit wear
Work with Board to communicate events via social media, email, and website
Report to Board regarding funds raised and goals met

Position: Softball Director and Assistant Softball Director
Description: These volunteers would work with the Board and be:
Primary contact for all recreational softball coaches
League rep for Chain o’Lakes Softball League
Communicate out important dates, including reminders, to coaches
Attend and assist Grant coaches during spring and fall scheduling meetings held in April and August each year
Ensure coaches are knowledgeable with rules, field prep, and Sports Engine app
Check-in with coaches regularly
Communicate monthly to Board regarding any issues, concerns, and positive things relating to the recreational softball program
Organize clinics and evaluations
Attend spring softball draft
Work with Baseball Director

Position: Baseball Director and Assistant Baseball Director
Description: These volunteers would work with the Board and be:
Primary contact for all recreational baseball coaches
League rep for Nippersink Baseball League
Communicate out important dates, including reminders, to coaches
Attend and assist Grant coaches during spring and fall scheduling meetings held in April and August each year
Ensure coaches are knowledgeable with rules, field prep, and Sports Engine app
Check-in with coaches regularly
Communicate monthly to Board regarding any issues, concerns, and positive things relating to the recreational baseball program
Organize clinics and evaluations
Attend spring and fall baseball draft
Work with Softball Director

Position: Umpire Directors
Description: Working with a Board member, these volunteers would:
Secure umpires for the spring and fall seasons
Secure umpires for tournaments hosted by Grant Community Baseball and Softball
Train umpires on rules, hand signals, procedures, and confidence in talking with coaches
Schedule umpires and communicate any changes, including makeup games

Position: Tee Ball Directors
Description: These volunteers would work with the Board and be:
Primary contact for all Rising Stars and Rookies coaches
Communicate out important dates, including reminders, to coaches
Ensure coaches are equipped with drills and goals to work toward
Make sure coaches know how to use Sports Engine
Check-in with coaches regularly
Communicate monthly to Board regarding any issues, concerns, and positive things relating to the tee ball program
Create schedule with the help from the Softball and Baseball Directors

Reports to: Board Member
Position: Grounds Managers
Description: These volunteers work with the Vice President and are responsible for:
Mowing, weeding, applying fertilizer, and performing a spring clean up on the park
Reporting any grounds related safety concerns to Vice President
Prepping fields for games, which includes raking and dragging the field using GrantCBS’ equipment
Sharing ideas on ways to beautify the park and work with Sponsorship Managers to identify potential sponsors

Position: WebMaster
Description: This Board member is responsible for:
Updating the website with sponsorship, league, softball, baseball, tee ball, tournament information and more
Building email templates and sending emails to designated groups
Building webpages to support league
Building registrations for spring and fall and other needs such as tournaments and Pancake Breakfast
Creating rosters for teams and pushing via SportsEngine App

Reports to: Executive Board
Position: Player Agent Assistant
Description: This Board member is responsible for:
Assisting Player Agent with spring and fall registrations
Pull individuals interested in coaching and providing background checks
Assisting with questions from families surrounding registration
Working with Treasurer to collect any payments
Working with Secretary to make purchase for spring candy fundraiser
Manage inquiries and awards of player scholarships
